For one of my photography assignments I have decided to catalog some of the things I find myself doing daily. So for the next four weeks I will post a daily photo from my adventures in life.
A glass furnace is held at about 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. I am in my second semester of glass blowing classes and have learned there is nothing like dipping into a blazing furnace and pulling out glass with the consistency of honey.
This weekend I made the journey home to help celebrate my sister's birthday and to visit with family and friends. I gave my Dad this print for his birthday he celebrated a couple weeks ago. This photo was taken this summer at Hollister Hills during the vintage Iron Man Race. The rider with the most laps in 45 minutes wins. Norman won the big bikes class.
Chico State Photo Department was taking donation for a print raffle fundraiser. This is the print I entered, Pheiffer Beach, 2010. The raffle will take place in BSO in Ayres Hall September 27th through October 8th. Tickets are $3 for student tickets and $5 for teachers tickets.
Spent a few hours in the lab tonight seeing I have another critique tomorrow. Luckily some fun photos came from it. Here is one of them! More to come....
September 18th....I went to a Point Sur Light House Station three hour walking tour. The station was built the 1880's to warn ships of the dangerous rocky coast line. We walked up 300 feet to the top of the rock where the buildings were located. It was a beautiful sunny day on the central coast! I highly encourage the tour.
